Jeff Bezos unveiled his much-anticipated Amazon Fire phone on Wednesday, pitting Amazon against Android and Apple in the fight for smartphone supremacy. Google Play and Apple dominate the app ecosystem with 1-million-strong catalogs, while Amazon has a paltry 240,000 apps in its store.

But Amazon and Jeff Bezos are making a bigger play by turning the whole world into a massive online store. Object recognition technology, aka Firefly, recognizes more than 100 million items that conveniently are also sold by Amazon.

Imagine being able to purchase anything you want, anytime, and getting it delivered instantaneously. What will the future look like once Amazon rules the world?
