Panasonic demonstrated the 2009 version of their VieraCast system, which — as of March 2009 — will give you the ability to rent HD movies and television shows via digital download from Amazon.com’s Video on Demand Service. The system also gives you access to YouTube videos, photos on your Picasa account, Bloomberg News reports and local weather information. VieraCast will be built-in to Panasonic’s G10, G15, V10 and Z1 series HDTVs, as well as all Panasonic Blu-ray players.
