Amazon Fire Phone có giá bán tương đương với các điện thoại cao cấp khác ở Mỹ (199$ kèm hợp đồng hoặc 649$) nhưng cấu hình của nó không cao bằng. Lý do là Amazon đã tập trung vào đẩy mạnh trải nghiệm kiểu mới như Dynamic Perspective, Firefly và dịch vụ hỗ trợ Mayday. Trong thời gian đầu, những ai mua Fire Phone sẽ được tặng gói dịch vụ Amazon Prime có giá khoảng 100$ mỗi năm.

Amazon Fire Phone có cấu hình khá mạnh nhưng chưa phải là cao cấp nhất trong dòng sản phẩm flagship: SnapDragon 800, 2GB RAM và bộ nhớ 32GB. Cấu hình này dư sức chạy tốt các game hay ứng dụng Android nhưng nếu là người thích đua phần cứng thì rõ ràng Fire Phone không phải là lựa chọn tốt.

Có kích cỡ 4.7”, kích cỡ màn hình mà LG, Samsung hay HTC… gọi là mini nên Fire Phone khá nhỏ gọn, đặc biệt là về chiều ngang. Máy hơi dài do phải chứa cụm 4 camera ở mỗi góc nhằm theo dõi người dùng để hiển thị tương ứng. Fire Phone cũng khá nặng so với kích cỡ của nó. Thiết kế gần giống iPhone 5s là điều chắc chắc phải nói nếu bạn cầm sản phẩm này trên tay.

Trừ độ phân giải ra thì màn hình của Fire Phone rất xuất sắc, nó cũng tốt như các máy tablet Fire, tức góc nhìn rộng, màu sắc trong trẻo, tươi mới. Thật tiếc là Amazon chỉ sử dụng tấm nền 720p trên Fire Phone nếu không nó còn xuất sắc hơn nữa. Việc sử dụng tấm nền góc nhìn rộng trên Fire Phone thật sự rất quan trọng vì khi chúng ta nghiêng hay lắc máy, nó sẽ phản hồi mệnh lệnh tương ứng.

Giao diện Fire OS 3.5 trên Fire Phone khá ấn tượng và sáng tạo. Bạn sẽ vuốt từ mép màn hình để mở các lệnh tương ứng hoặc vuốt từ mép dưới lên để tắt ứng dụng, hoàn toàn khác với cách mà Android đang thực hiện, hơi nghiêng về phía BB OS 10 hơn. Do có Dynamic Perspective nên Fire Phone sẽ thay đổi nội dung hiển thị theo góc nhìn của chúng ta hay tự cuộn khi duyệt web. Lấy ví dụ khi bạn chơi game con cú thì nó sẽ liếc mắc về bên trái khi chúng ta nghiêng máy bên trái hoặc bên phải nếu ngược lại…

Mayday và Firefly là 2 tính năng rất hay của Fire Phone nhưng nó không phù hợp với người dùng Việt Nam, kể cả người dùng Mỹ cũng ít khi đụng tới. Khi được kích hoạt, Mayday sẽ kết nối với Amazon để hỗ trợ bạn khi chỉ trong vòng 15 giây, kể cả bằng thoại video nếu cần còn Firefly sẽ quét các mã vạch hay sản phẩm để hiển thị thông tin và giá cho chúng ta đặt mua.

Cần lưu ý là nếu sử dụng Fire Phone, bạn sẽ bị “cách ly” với các dịch vụ của Google mà chuyển sang Amazon hay các nhà cung cấp khác. Thay vì trình duyệt Chrome, ví Google Wallet, bản đồ Google Maps… bạn sẽ phải làm quen với trình duyệt Silk, ví Amazon Wallet và bản đồ Here Maps….

What makes one online shopping experience better than another?

With 88 percent of customers giving their approval, Amazon easily remained the best in online consumer satisfaction this year. A new survey from analysts at ForeSee points to the site’s huge inventory and easily navigable stores as keys to its success.

Losers this year included Apple, whose 80 percent score was its worst showing in four years. JCPenny.com had the sharpest fall, from 83 percent approval to 78.

The lowest ratings registered were for flash-sale site Gilt.com and Fingerhut.com, which each earned just 72 percent approval from customers.

ForeSee’s report is based on 24,000 surveys of customers from the top 100 online retailers completed between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
