JustGiving is an online social platform for charitable fundraising, with more than 24 million registered users who have helped raise $4 billion for more than 13,000 causes. To manage a surge in data volume, a need for better analysis of data, and unpredictable spikes in traffic, the organization turned to the AWS cloud. Using AWS, JustGiving created a new big-data analytics platform that provides deeper insights into giving patterns and is a cost-effective solution for handling large volumes of data and unpredictable site traffic.
