Pedro dos Santos, a farm laborer tricked into slave labor by a Gato (agent for wealthy land owners), continues his story of degradation, hunger, sickness, and escape. He has walked many miles to seek justice for himself, and the workers he left behind. By word of mouth, he has found The Center for the Defense of Life and Human Rights in Açailandia, where he found refuge, and allies in his search for justice.

Assured by the Federal Police and The Ministry of Labor that he had a case for slave labor, Pedro returned to the labor camp to await rescue. When no rescue came, he returned to the Center to once again seek justice for himself and his comrades.
