Amazon has suspended my account for no reason. I have been an Amazon seller for many years. Recently Amazon decided to ban my account. I had very good feedback; no chargeback’s and very low numbers of returns.

I send a couple of emails to department dealing with suspended accounts at Amazon to find out what they think I have done wrong. The “replies” I received were not only disappointing because they did not answer any of my questions, but the real issue was those were just some general templates prewritten for people who had been banned from selling.

Until today Amazon refuses to tell me why I got banned. My impression is those customer service reps dealing with my case actually don’t know what got my account disabled.
The business I have built over the last years has been destroyed from one day to the other. There had been no warnings from Amazon or any other form of communication that my account was at risk of being shut down.
I have a small book store were people bring in books they want to sell. We than offer those books for sale on Amazon. Without being able to sell on Amazon we actually lose money. Most people just sell books in our shop; the percentage of people buying in our shop is very small.
I believe how Amazon deals with sellers and how they suspended people without even telling them why is very unethical. I tried to find alternatives to Amazon without success. I have tried eBay, we also have our own website, but the sales we do there are just too low.

I have family, 1 baby and my wife to take care of. I never realized how thin the ice was, I built my business on.
We also have 2 staff working in our small book shop. If I don’t find a way how to get back on Amazon soon I will have to make them redundant. It would break my heart to tell them that I have to let them go.

I just wish Amazon would offer suspended sellers a fair appeal process, where the case is reviewed by a competent person, who really takes a close look at the case. At the moment they seem to employ some minimum wage slaves who have maybe 3-5 minutes on each case to decide if the account gets restored. My impression is that 99% of all appeals are declined right away.

Their attitude is, you are guilty how can you even think of contacting us. If Amazon would not be such a huge company, this would not be an issue. But people selling books online just don’t have any other place to go. There is something Amazon has in common with eBay, Google etc. all those companies got very arrogant over the last years, because they all have their own monopoly in their own niche.

Lack of competing platforms available means sellers can be treated without any respect and dignity. Once you have been suspended from Amazon, you are banned for life, there is now way back.

I have had my Amazon account suspended like many others. I am self – employed and I used to make a living using Amazon.

I sold arts and other types of craft goods, which I had imported from Bali. Amazon is a very common way to make an income, either on the sidelines as a part-time job or as a full-time business. For me, it was a business that I put my heart and life into. Amazon makes it easy to run a business and is a popular and convenient way for customers to find and buy from you. Amazon was once a very vital part of my entire life. Selling arts and crafts was my hobby and passion, and it supported my livelihood and paid the bills.

My experience with Amazon started off gradually. At first I just used it as partial income in addition to my full time job. In the beginning I was just selling little odds and ends but soon I came to the realization that I could combine my hobby with my job. Things with Amazon were going very well and not long after I discovered that I could import arts from other places around the world at discounted prices and then resell them. I decided to give up my job and put my entire stalk on Amazon. My Amazon business just kept growing slow and steadily for several years. I had great feedback and everything always went well, I was even a top seller – I wasn’t just making money, I was also a great asset to Amazon. Then suddenly out of the blue, for no reason or warning, my Amazon account was suspended indefinitely. The email informed me that Amazon was suspending my account for suspicious activity but there were no more specific details. It happened suddenly and I hadn’t anticipated it at all. There were no warning signs that I saw – I didn’t see it coming. How was I to know that my entire business would be in jeopardy?

The situation would be quite different if they had at least warned me and given me some direction as to what I had done wrong so that I could resolve the problem. Instead I was left utterly in the dark and there was nothing I could do – I never had the chance to right whatever I had done wrong. My business was such an important part of my life that, given the chance, I would have of course taken measures to fix the problem as soon as I could. I wasn’t given any such chance.

Now my entire business is down. Amazon was the greatest tool I had in order to sell my products. I had built up a customer base and worked hard to achieve the standing I had. My ratings and years of service, loyalty, and commitment had all allowed me to build my business. Without warning it was all taken out from under me. Now I have to start from scratch and pick up the pieces of what is left so that I can start new somewhere.

This very evening I came to my house, took my bath and went to my office built right in my house, I powered my laptop on and visited my Amazon page the message I saw was somehow unpleasant. I logged into to my mail box as quickly as i can, but the shock of the message i saw in my inbox was far more greater than any I have encountered in my life before.

I was told that I have been suspended from Amazon, I selling 7 years on Amazon and I don’t think it is reasonable for Amazon to suspend my account without warning or giving me reasons why they banned my account. I contacted one of the representatives on Amazon and I receive another weird message that I can’t appeal for my account which is to say that their decision to suspend my account was permanent and there is no turning back.

The moment I got suspended on Amazon I tried everything I could just to make sure I have a solution to that issue, but later I discovered that I have just lost everything I have being working so hard to build for years. The only thing I ever wanted was to build my study source of income along with a group of pleased customers on Amazon but I lost everything after my account was banned from Amazon.
