For the past year, there are two major websites for buying or trading things with completely different models that is Amazon or eBay. Both companies are huge and have their specialties and finer points. So, which one that most online users are going to choose just one to live with for the rest of their lives, Amazon or eBay?
Amazon and eBay are about neck and neck who play by the same rules and requirements for sellers, including dropshipping sellers. eBay might be a great place to pick up a deal while Amazon might be just the right place to get a quick item with no-hassle.
Depends on what you look for, If you are selling books, CDs and DVDs, Amazon is the way to go. eBay is better If you are selling something else, say an iPod or a digital camera. eBay is also has more reliable feedback than Amazon.
When it comes to payments, the advantage once again is with Amazon. The eBay can often be cheaper, and more convenient due to being able to use PayPal, which Amazon doesn’t. But on Amazon, books and similar things are cheaper and more available.
Return policies are about the same, eBay still allows sellers to have a No Returns policy while on Amazon, you will get penalized if you exceed X number of returns within a set period of time. eBay at least encourages buyers and sellers to communicate while on Amazon from the moment the buyer emails or files a claim you will have to lost every dispute.
As the conclusion, Amazon does come out ahead of eBay because Amazon is more cost effective than eBay. You don’t have to pay listing fees on Amazon, just final value fees. Meanwhile on eBay constant fee are increasing.
