California Costumes – No Customer Service – Defective Product – No Help

I bought this outfit from Amazon on October 21st 2013 for Halloween but decided not to wear it. I have another event it could be used at – so I decided to open it up and noticed the bucket missing on the belt. Too late to return to Amazon and I had already decided just to call the company directly and have them send out a belt. Calling their number you get an answering system that does not even have an extension for customer service, just press for an extension which of course there is no way to know them. Try it for yourself 323 area code 262-8383. They insisted they could not help me as their policy says I have to deal with Amazon which of course can do absolutely nothing such as providing a buckle for a costume they manufacture. Complete nonsense on their web site testimonials: “You gave us great customer service!” and “You guys rocked – beat out the competitors in all areas, especially in service, price and quality”. They do not stand behind their products. Buyer beware.
