Superman was created back in 1933 by two writers Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, then was later made into comic books owned by DC comics.
The Superman character has changed over time since 1933 but basically the main characters info and other supporting characters have stayed fairly the same.
Superman is about a race of beings living on the planet name Krypton and the main character is part of a royal family called the house of El. The planet of Krypton is faced with the destruction of exploding due to its center core becoming unstable and so Superman’s father Jor-el decides to send his young boy named Kal-el to Earth where Jor-el has visited in the past in order to save his son and to also help the people of Earth. Jor-el knows that by sending his son to Earth, since Earth has a yellow sun, his son Kal-el will actually have powers beyond any human being on the planet.
Back in 1970 the movie industry actually brought Superman to the big screen starring the late actor Christopher Reeves as Superman, and this movie ended up spawning into 3 movies, I want to say four but the fourth one was terrible.
Versions of Superman have been on TV and the big screen before back in the 1930s, but the Superman character back then was only able to leap and jump and deflect bullets, but in 1970 when Superman was brought back to the big screen we all got to see Superman’s powers of speed and flight and strength.

Superman tv debut included: Smallville with actor Tom Welling, Lois & Clark the new adventures of Superman starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, and countless animated versions. Superman movies included: Superman the movie and sequels two and three with the late Christoper Reeves & Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Supergirl starring Helen Slater, Faye Dunaway & Peter o’Tool, Superman Returns with Brandon Routh & Kevin Spacey and finally the 2013 remake of Superman called Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill & Russel Crow as Jor-el.
My movie review of DC Man of Steel movie by Zak Snyder. After watching the long two and a half hour movie i have to say that the movie to me was fantastic. Being a person who has read, watched and have idolized over everything Superman, i believe the story that was told in the movie was spot on and seemed to follow the graphic novels stories. The actors that were hired for the movie i believe gave the characters down to earth like status and played the roles very well. The special effects sequences as well as the superpowers were done perfectly.

From the way the movie ended i know that a part two will be created to now follow the Clark Kent/Superman character with a new nemesis namely Lex Luthor. My overall rating for this movie is huge 5 stars!!!
What I liked is that this movie was from a different part of the comic book series as compared to the 1970 version of Superman that starred the late Christopher Reeves.
