New Xbox Kinect Interactive Advertisements

New Xbox Kinect Interactive Advertisements

An announcement was made by Microsoft on Monday, where the software giants plan to offer a new type of interactive advert which will tie in with the Kinect. 3 major advertisers named, being Chevrolet, Sprint, and T-Mobile. How the ads will work is if a player were to own Kinect Joy Ride. The player could test drive a Chevrolet within the game. The ads will commence on Nov 4th when the Kinect hits the shelves.

With the increasing popularity of the Xbox Kinect Bundles, rising sales at Amazon.com, the launch is looking to be a doozy. Sales are expected to reach 3 Million, and could be bigger than the Xbox 360 Launch. Preorders for the bundles are available at several retailers, including Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, and GameStop. Alone, the Kinect Console is retailing for $149.99, and comes with a bonus game, Kinect Adventures. While the initial 4th Nov launch is set for the US only, Kinect will be available in Europe on November 10, and Japan on November 22.

At present, there are only two Xbox Kinect Bundles available. The newest being the 4Gb Kinect Bundle. Retailing for $299.99, this bundle comes jam packed with a Kinect Sensor, the sleak new Xbox 360 slim with built in Wifi, Xbox Live, an Xbox 360 wireless controller…and the Kinect Adventures game. All pre-ordered bundles come with an exclusive Kinect Adventures Helicopter prop for their avatar. The new built in Wifi seems to be one of the main attractions for the new 360 console, with 802.11n Wi-Fi built-in for a faster and easier connection to Xbox LIVE. Allowing users to stream HD movies and TV, or download games from Xbox LIVE in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound from anywhere in the house.

The second Xbox Kinect Bundle currently on offer is the 250Gb Kinect Bundle. This special edition item comes with the same bundle of goodies the 4Gb comes with, only much much bigger. For those planning on buying more Kinect games, the bigger hard drive can prove extremely handy. Saving your Kinect games to the hard drive means a player can play his/her games from the Xbox 360 Console and not the Kinect game disk. This ensures your Kinect game remains in great condition. To be able to do this, you’ll need the 250GB Xbox Kinect Bundle.
