That magnanimous divinity, removes us from all sins..
Her diverse forms takes us across the dreaded paths..
That mother divine, her love encompasses myriad lives..
Mother of universe! take us beyond time and death..
Bringing in various traditional and regional musical instruments to imbibe the true sense of paraashakthi.
The heavy rhythms of south indian gejje, ghatam and tavil, eastern “taiko” etc; The subtlety and devotion invoked with violins, the “Omkar” of australian wind instrument, Didgeridoo; blending to give a unique flavour of New Age music.
As the music builds up, one can feel the mother divine in her various forms, the Loving mother, the destroyer as Kali, the Durga, the goddess of wisdom, etc.. The music conveys, her enormous power, subtlety, love, centred-ness.. The experience put in to words wouldn’t do justice, just be and experience the Paraashakthi!

Theyyam or Kaliyattom,
An elaborate and deep folk ritual of vibrant costumes and heavy rhythms,
A sacred theatrical performance of music and dance,
The ritual is staged within the temple premises called “Kaavu”, enacting the presiding deity based on sangam literature or local history.
The actor, a male member of a selected family inherits the honour of possessing the deity within him.. He dons the form of the goddess (as Chamundi, Kali, Bhagavathy etc).
During the invocation he gets into a trance, the “bhaava” of the goddess, impersonates the deity, where the villagers seek blessings..
The human god bless them with rice , turmeric etc for health, harvest and prosperity..
